Andy Blanks hits it right on the head!  I'm not trying to defend my job specifically, but I dislike it when others downplay the role youth ministers/workers play in the lives of teens today.  Could we do it better?  Absolutely.  Let's take Andy's words to heart and be the support of families - teens and parents.
