Be a Hero to Your (Own) Kids
- 1598
Sometimes I call the teens in my youth group "my kids". Partly, it may be because of the ownership I take in their lives. Partly, because before I had kids of my own, they felt that way to my wife and myself. And partly, because it's a shorter phrase and faster to say.
Regardless of how you refer to the teens in your group, you need to first and foremost teach, value, and treasure the children in your household. But there are times when we don't know what kinds of things do with our kids, especially on a rainy day. We came across a very cool resource that can assist you in being an involved, creative dad. SonicDad.com gives you ideas for projects to do with your children. You can sign up for a subscription or buy each project as you go. There are also the occasional FREE project.
Spend time with your kids and you will become a hero in their eyes!
